Last Saturday (8 June 2024) we supported a Hunter Education Field Day at Cedar Rod & Gun Club, and we graduated 37 new hunters, aged nine to sixty-nine!
I was surprised to have participants come from as far as Grayling, West Branch, Flint and Lake Isabella, and was saddened that besides my wife only one more volunteer showed up for the event. Thank you Mark W and Maria!
On that note, I would like to thank MI-DNR Conservation Officers Zack, Josh and Will for not only showing up, but for staying to the bitter end and allowing us to do the live fire session with all students. I know that you all had long days and sacrificed your personal time and commitments to help us!
